Camera Critters #13 - Canada's National Symbol!

As all of you know I love nature and I also love photography so finding Camera Critters meme has been right up my alley. This week I was going to post my picture of a baby seal that I took up the coast, but instead I went for a walk tonight in Foreshore Park with a friend and look what waddled past me! Looks like a big rat at first glance......

But it is Canada's national symbol.... the Canadian Beaver!

  5. That is awesome! MUST be lucky! I love beavers, never have seen a live one, even at zoo. They are so hard-working and expertly made for their calling. Canada's animal. I'll say.

  6. Hey Drowsey - that frog is kinda like those depressed penguins on your site. Once you start you can't stop.

  7. This was a lucky shot. He had been in the water in a run off to the Fraser River and when I came along he was just coming up out of the water! When he saw me he stopped for a minute, but just carried on right in front of me.
You don't see these guys that often. As for that camera around my neck ... it is almost always there!
