IN FLANDERS FIELDS
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
the torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

What is Remembrance Day? I've never heard of it before.
ReplyDeleteRemembrance Day is the day we remember those who died in the war. Check out Drowsey Monkey's Blog she has a really good post about it. http://www.drowseymonkey.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI guess it must be similar to our Veteran's Day, which is today.
ReplyDeleteExcellent post. I like your new layout too.
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you Drowsey Monkey, on both compliments. No one has said if they like this template or not. So last night I spent my time screwing it up by trying different ones! Not a good idea. Ended up back with this one.
ReplyDeleteI've done that too!!! Then spend 3 hours putting it all back, LOL. Glad it's not just me.
